The sunmonuments of Österlen The geographical relation between Ales stenar and
Stenhed.
© Foto Bob G Lind Geographically the 50 metres long Stenhed monument is
located in a straight line between Ales stenar 18 km and the famous
grave monument at Kivik 18 km. A connection which of course cannot be
viewed as a pure coincidence. The shiplike formation of stones at Stenhed,
like that at Ales stenar, has been arranged to account for the 365 days
of the solar year and the 24 hours of day and night.
