The reconstruction

According to the reconstruction, the quarterdivided sunship has had a similar design in both ends with it´s marking keelrocks, symbolising the extended keelstems which surfaced above the water in front of the highstems on the Bronze Age ships. The keelrock which is situated inside the sunship has originally been standing outside the northwestern stemrock (see sketch), and together with the other stemrock in the southeast (which still is situated in it´s right place), has signified the intersections (between the winter solstice and the summer solstice) in the geometrical and symmetrical planning in which the sunship is situated. During Antiquity the green square symbolised the human life while the yellow circle (the sun) symbolised the universe and the divine cosmical order.
